Arthouse Entertainment established its business model that would eventually propel it to success during its formative stages. Stephen Finfer relied upon his knowledge of the music industry gained from his experience as a top executive at some of the largest, most successful music publishers to create a company unlike others that existed in the industry. With Arthouse Entertainment, Finfer has achieved his goal of building a music publishing company with services to offer writers and publishers, recording companies and artists, and corporate clients and advertising agencies. Arthouse spans the music industry from Grammy nominated hits to commercial jingles for some of the biggest, most well-known brands marketed in the United States.
The journey to success in music publishing began in the courtrooms of Los Angeles for Stephen Finfer. He headed west after graduation from law school to take a position as an entertainment litigator at the prestigious law firm of Shea & Gould. Finfer left the world of a litigator behind to open his own law office and talent management company. The path to success in music publishing next took him to positions with Capitol/EMI Music, MCA Music Publishing, Paramount Pictures, and TVT Music, to become its GM in charge of all worldwide operations. Creating Arthouse Entertainment was the next stop on the journey.
Arthouse Entertainment grew from a boutique music publishing company to become an internationally successful force in the music industry. Guided by long-time music publishing executive and attorney Stephen Finfer, Arthouse songwriters and compositions were nominated for seven Grammy Awards in 2012. Digital singles of Arthouse controlled compositions have sold more than 35 million copies throughout the world. Instead of being satisfied with what it has already achieved, Finfer is looking to the future for Arthouse Entertainment. The sale of portions of its music catalog opened the opportunity for the company to fund the signings of new writers.
Publisher Stephen Finfer and songwriter Kara DioGuardi co-founded Arthouse Entertainment in 2002 to focus on the discovery, signing and development of songwriters and producers capable of meeting recording company demand for talent. Working as a boutique company, Arthouse Entertainment has become a worldwide force in commercial music publishing. Boasting its own stable of talented writers and producers, the company catalog of song titles it controls places it in the unique position of offering recording companies a complete package of services from concept through production. Its position as an innovative publishing house allows Arthouse Entertainment to offer its songwriters and producers opportunities to advance their careers.
